Villa Moira is a sprawling, light-filled home with interiors that have been decorated to make you enjoy your Sicilian holiday in style. Throughout the house are large glass windows that allow the airy rooms to be washed in wondrous light. Villa Moira’s living area is spread between two levels.
On the ground floor are a cinema area and an open-plan living room featuring a minimalist-chic dining table with seating for up to six people, as well as a sitting area furnished with bright sofas. The wide window offers beautiful sea views, and a glass door leads to an outdoor terrace. You’ll also find an exquisitely designed kitchen with a mixture of period furniture and modern appliances.
Going up a short flight of stairs will take you to another sitting area, which also features striking, contemporary furnishings. Here and elsewhere throughout the house, you’ll find a fusion of modern art and rustic features like exposed masonry.
Also nestled in the villa’s upper floor are three graceful bedrooms, all given a warm, vintage look. These rooms all have double beds, en suite bathrooms and direct access to furnished terraces. One also has a sofa and a glass-walled Jacuzzi from which you can enjoy the glorious views.
Perched among an olive grove, Villa Moira was built to blend beautifully with its verdant surroundings, giving you the impression that this stunning house was sculpted out of the hillside it’s on.
The villa has seven large outdoor terraces built at different levels. All are furnished with a combination of rustic and contemporary lounging and dining furniture and offer wonderful views over Capo D’Orlando and its harbour. All throughout the villa’s grounds you’ll find flower gardens as well as palm trees with hammocks.
The centrepiece of the villa’s outdoor space is its natural saltwater pool and Jacuzzi, which looks like it has been carved out of rock. Here you can go for an invigorating swim or just relax in the whirlpool, while taking in the gorgeous sights of the sea and the greenery. Right by the pool is a lovely deck lined with modern sunbeds and dining furniture. Close by are a hammam and a wine cellar to help you make the most of your relaxation time.
